Another day, another pop star dramatically falls onstage.

“Oops, I did it again” singer Britney Spears is the latest singer to fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction.

The 33-year-old singer tumbled to the floor as she performed her 1999 hit song “(You Drive Me) Crazy” in front of hundreds at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

Heels, not an oversized cape, were the perpetrators of the mishap which caused Britney to fall over and injure her ankle during an intricate dance routine.

You can watch a fan-shot video of the performance below, the fall taking place at 1:45.

After the show, the singer reached out to fans on Twitter to let them know she was ok.

However, hours later the songstress took to her Instagram account to inform fans that, due to her ankle, she will not be able to perform on the weekend.

She wrote: “Breaks my heart to share this news. After hurting my ankle last night my doctor has advised me not to perform this weekend (sad emoticon)

“Your kind words mean everything to me! I’m rescheduling this weekend’s shows and will let ya’ll know when we have new dates. xoxo”

You can't really have a Britney article without this ridiculous picture of her and Justin Timberlake both in double denim, can you?

This isn't the first time Britney has injured herself while dancing. In 1999, while rehearsing, the singer twisted her knee, causing her to hault performances for an entire month.

Again, in 2004, the singer hurt her knee filming the music video for her song "Outrageous." On both occasions the singer had to undergo surgery.

The last major pop star to fall over on stage was Madonna, who caused a social media storm after tumbling at the Brits.

Madonna also took to Instagram after the incident, writing "My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine!"
