Jamiroquai shares coronavirus-themed cover of Bowie's 'Let's Dance' titled 'Lockdown'

Celebrities are reacting to being in partial lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak in different ways – and Jamiroquai has shared his way of coping.

The singer posted a video revealing a pandemic-themed cover of David Bowie’s hit song “Let’s Dance” reworked as “Lockdown”.

Jay Kay shared the clip on Instagram, captioning it: “Only another three months to go.”

The lyrics go:

Lockdown / Put on your face mask and watch TV

“Lockdown / To the sound of the kids all screaming at me.

Lockdown / Trying to avoid the COVID-19

“Lockdown / I’ve got a headache, a serious headache.

In place of the line “If you say run, I’ll run with you,” is: “If you dry cough, I’ll run from you.”

You can see the full clip above.

As citizens of countries around the globe were instructed to stay at home, many celebrities have been posted videos of support online, including Judi Dench, the cast of Watchmen and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, whose high-profile cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” was parodied online.
