They are now huge stars in their own right - but the trio that made up Destiny’s Child could reunite for a new tour and album.

Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who found fame together in the nineties, could be getting ready to resurrect hits including “Independent Women” and “Survivor”.

At least that’s the word on the grapevine, according to Beyoncé’s father and the band’s manager, Mathew Knowles.

“What folks don't know is that I am still the manager of Destiny's Child,” he told the Roula & Ryan show on Houston's KRBE .

“You see them doing songs together, now they've done two. There might be another Destiny's Child album coming,” he said.

And Knowles added that the group could be set to make an enduring mark on the world.

“There might be this tour that makes history with Destiny’s Child featuring Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle. Can you imagine what that would be like.”

Knowles described the incident as a “Jedi mind trick" designed to “ignite” sales for the couple’s tour.

“All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everyone’s talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange’s album sales went up 200 per cent,” he said.

Destiny’s Child had a brief reunion at the Superbowl last year where they performed a medley of their hits during half-time. However many commentators said that it appeared as though Beyoncé’s microphone had been turned up louder than those of her bandmates.
