Who is she? As the most famous female country act in the history of music, Dolly Parton needs no introduction. At 68, this Tennessee singer-songwriter is still going strong with her blonde bouffant hair bigger than ever.

When is she performing? Dolly will perform on Glastonbury’s most instantly recognisable stage, The Pyramid Stage, at 16.20 on Sunday to thousands of adoring fans.

When can I catch her on TV? If you can’t make it to Glastonbury this year, or just don’t fancy wading through the mud and people, Dolly’s set will be played on BBC Two from 17.00 onwards, along with highlights from the festival.

Why watch her set? The country singer has hit the headlines recently in support of her 21 year old god-daughter Miley Cyrus.

She described the controversial “Wrecking Ball” s tar as “fantastic” and even gave her take on the surrounding gender politics.

“Women are taking their power and using it," she said. "Women have a long way to go, but I really think we've made a lot of great strides since Jane Fonda starred in “9 to 5”. I felt I was part of a whole new movement, especially in the workplace.”

Perhaps we’ll be lucky enough to see Dolly twerking with Ed Sheeran, who is performing at the same time. If this happens, there is a danger that the internet may break.

Best Dolly Parton hits to download:

1) "I Will Always Love You"

2) "9 to 5"

3) "Jolene"

4) "Islands in the Stream"

5) "Coats of Many Colours"
