Ed Sheeran's long-awaited Home and Away cameo is set to premiere in Australia soon with the singer playing a new character called Teddy.
Sheeran, 24, will be the first international celebrity to appear on the soap after filming his scenes earlier this year while on tour in the country.
His storyline introduces him as one of the children Marilyn Chambers nannied while living in the UK, who surprises everyone in Summer Bay when he visits and they find out he is a chart-topper musician.
Sheeran, who performs "Thinking Out Loud" in The Diner during the episode, thoroughly enjoyed taking part in "an Australian institution".
"[Home and Away] is always on in my local chip shop. I got asked to do it and it sounded like it could be fun," he said. "I did Shortland Street in New Zealand as well and I'm sure if Emmerdale or EastEnders ever ask me in England I would do that as well."

Actor Alec Snow, who plays Matt Page, said that everyone on and off set was starstruck by Sheeran, who seemed like a "really down-to-earth, nice guy that genuinely wanted to be there".
UK fans can catch Sheeran in action on Channel 5 this winter.
