Mastodon returned to Game of Thrones for another cameo in the season 7 finale.

Band members Brann Dailor, Bill Kelliher and Brent Hinds featured in 'The Dragon and the Wolf' after their first appearance as wildlings in season 5.

The American heavy metal band also contributed a song, "White Walker", to the Catch the Throne: Volume II mixtape released in 2015.

Mastodon previously appeared as Wildlings in scenes with Kit Harington as Jon Snow (Mastodon)

In 'The Dragon and the Wolf' we now see them as wights marching in the army of the undead after the Night King used his ice dragon to destroy the Wall.

Drummer/vocalist Dailor made an earlier appearance in episode one of season 7 where he was briefly spotted by fans - again marching behind the White Walkers.

During the same moment in the finale, we'd be hugely impressed if you managed to spot a cameo from Bastille guitarist Kyle Simmons and the band's tour manager Dick Meredith.

The rest of the band were also filmed but it doesn't look as though they made it to the final edit - either that or they're just hiding in the background somewhere.

It's a considerably more subtle cameo than that of Ed Sheeran in episode 2 of season 7, whose much-hyped appearance didn't go down so well with fans.

Season 7's finale saw the characters fearing for the future of Westeros - find all our latest analysis, news and updates here.
