With Bestival having finished, festival season draws to a close, punters once again wondering who will be headlining next year’s major festivals.

As always, Glastonbury is on everybody’s tongues, tickets for which go on sale 6 October, the festival taking place on 21 to 25 June 2017.

However, that’s not the only news those at Worthy Farm have announced; Michael Eavis and his crew have revealed there will be no festival in 2018.

“We can also confirm that we will be taking our next fallow year in 2018, in order to give the farm, the village and the festival team the traditional year off. There are no plans to hold an event at another location in 2018.”

The news comes following rumours the event would move location, Eavis previously suggesting Longleat as the festival’s new location.

However, these rumours seem to have been doused by the latest announcement, as have those that the dates would change due to this year’s record-breaking rainfall (and mud). To get tickets to Glastonbury Festival you must register in advance.
