Given their track record, you could be forgiven for being a little sceptical when rumours of a Guns N’ Roses reunion swirled recently.

Frontman Axl Rose and guitarist Slash notoriously have not always seen eye-to-eye, and the band have caused rioting among fans in the past after turning up hours late to shows.

They appeared to have turned over a new leaf today, announcing they will be headlining Coachella in 2016, but news broke at the same time that Rose is already cancelling appearances.

He was slated to be a guest on Tuesday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, but his name has been removed from the guest list at the last minute.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately Axl is no longer scheduled to be on Kimmel tomorrow,” a show source, who declined to elaborate or go on record, told the LA Times.

Guns N’ Roses were expected to announce a world tour alongside the reunion, but so far have only scheduled the Coachella set.

Rose's exit from Kimmel could simply be a scheduling clash, but has inevitably led to speculation on reluctance on his part.
