Somehow, Björn Tagemos - a Swedish visual artist - has managed to assemble one of the greatest line-ups of rock stars ever, and has cast them in a silent film.

Iggy Pop, Lemmy, Slash, Grace Jones, Henry Rollins, Josh Homme, Mark Lenegan, Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes, Slayer’s Tom Araya, Justice, Nina Hagen and Volbeat have gathered to star in the bombastic production which will tour the world with a live band.

Called Gutterdämmerung: The Loudest Silent Film on Earth, the plot will revolve around a satanic guitar and Pop’s fallen angel. Watch the trailer below.

The casting for the film has been announced via Facebook, each one accompanied by small descriptions of their character.

Slash’s character apparently starts the quest for the Phallic tool of eternal torment. Wandering through our tale like a thief in the night and with the swagger of a true Rock and Roll Phantomas.”

Josh Homme, meanwhile will bring “death to life, armed with his bazooka poetically known as ‘Death’s Dominion’.” Check out the page here.

The “loud and dark fairy tale” will tour with an accompanying rock band from late this year to early next.
