People's Choice Awards 2016: A guy crashed the stage to give Kanye West a shout-out

Quoting the rapper, he said: 'Yeezy jumped over the jumpman, yes sir'

Last night's People's Choice Awards received an interruption when a man invaded the LA stage and quoted a Kanye West lyric.

The hosts of US television show The Talk were on stage accepting their award for Favourite Daytime TV Hosting Team when the unnamed male bounded into shot, took the microphone and casually name-dropped a few US rappers.

"Shouts to Kevin Gates," he began, before delivering a quote from West's new single "FACTS."

"Yeezy jumped over the jumpman, yes sir."

It was here when the award-accepting presenters – including a livid Sharon Osbourne – took matters into their own hands, forcibly removing the microphone from him and (literally) kicking him off stage.

"You ain't gonna pull no Steve Harvey up in here, no sir," said Osbourne's co-host Sheryl Underwood, referencing the recent Miss Universe contest which saw the host announce the incorrect winner, to laughs from the crowd.

Quite how the youth made it onto the stage, the producers aren't sure, but it's a sure bet he won't be interrupting the hosts of The Talk again anytime soon.

Kanye West famously crashed the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards (VMAs) in 2009.
