Haim have promised that their second album will be arriving “very soon”.

The Los Angeles pop rock band are working on the follow-up to their 2013 debut Days Are Gone.

Before taking to the Other Stage for their set earlier this afternoon, the all-female trio revealed plans for their hotly-awaited next record.

“This is the first time we’ve ever written on the road,” keyboardist Alana Haim told BBC 6 Music.

“We’re going home in a month to start recording. I promise record two won’t come in six years, it’ll come very soon.”

Released last September, Days Are Gone, reached number one in the UK Albums Chart and number six on the US Billboard 200. Hit singles include “Don’t Save Me”, “Falling” and “If I Could Change Your Mind”.

Haim have been touring non-stop since Days Are Gone, with festivals lined-up for the rest of this summer including T in the Park and Latitude. The group will then begin a seven-date US tour starting in early August.
