Jason Derulo scores UK number 1 for fourth consecutive week

The American singer's "Want To Want Me" was streamed more than 2m times this week

Hitmaker Jason Derulo has secured a fourth consecutive week at the top of the singles chart with "Want To Want Me".

The American singer beat off strong midweek competition from Deorro & Chris Brown's Five More Hours, chalking up 57,000 combined chart sales and 2.11 million streams to retain the crown.

Want To Want Me is the fourth track this year to spend at least four weeks in pole position.

The current record-holder for 2015 is Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk, which managed six consecutive weeks at the start of the year.

Major Lazer, MO and DJ Snake's Lean On climbed one place to number two, OMI's Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix) was at three and Five More Hours crashed in at number four to become the week's highest new entry.

Meanwhile, Walk The Moon's Shut Up & Dance climbed three places to break into the top five for the first time.

Elsewhere in the singles chart, Britney Spears scored her 30th top 40 hit with Iggy Azalea collaboration Pretty Girls, which entered at number 16.

In the albums chart, Muse managed to hang on to top spot with seventh album Drones.

It is the Devon rockers' fifth chart-topping album and the first time they have held on to the top spot for a second week since 2006's Black Holes & Revelations.

Florence + The Machine's How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful also held firm at number two in the week they were promoted to top of the bill at Glastonbury in the place of injury-hit Foo Fighters.

Paul Simon's Ultimate Collection leaped nine places to number three and James Taylor scored his highest-charting studio album for 44 years with Before This World at number four.

Four is Taylor's lucky number - his most successful studio album in the UK previously was Mudslide Slim And The Blue Horizon, which reached number four in 1971.

And his greatest hits compilation You've Got A Friend - The Best Of also made it to number four in 2003.

Rounding off the albums top five was Ed Sheeran's x, which celebrates a year in the albums top 10 - with only four of those weeks spent outside the top five.

And following frontman Dave Grohl's mishap in breaking a leg on stage in Sweden last week, Foo Fighters' Greatest Hits made a comeback, advancing 15 spots to number 28.
