Chart-topping boy band JLS will be the headline act at the opening ceremony of a charity football match between Manchester United and Real Madrid legends.

Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse will perform a selection of their greatest hits on the Old Trafford pitch ahead of the Red Heart United Legends match on June 2.

The event, which aims to raise money for the Manchester United Foundation, will see team manager Bryan Robson lead out a United side of legends including Edwin van der Sar, Denis Irwin, Jaap Stam and Teddy Sheringham.

Real Madrid have enlisted the help of veteran players such as Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Fernando Hierro and hope to defend a 3-2 lead, claimed in the first leg at the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid last year.

Red Heart United will offer a full day out and will include entertainment around the stadium. In addition to JLS, further musical performances are due to be announced in the coming weeks.

In keeping with the two clubs' origins, there will also be the chance to play Spanish and British themed games as well as sample traditional cuisine from both nations.

JLS finished as runners up on X Factor in 2008 and went on to experience phenomenal success, achieving five Mobo awards, two Brits and five UK number one singles.

Tickets for Red Heart United are on sale now and are available by visiting www.manutd.com/legendsareback or calling 0161 868 8000.
