Justin Bieber was late for his O2 concert on Monday night because he was playing on video games, according to reports.
The 19-year-old was late because he slept in for too long and then spent hours playing on computer games, a source told Heat magazine.
Another source alleged: “His lateness was because he didn’t get out of bed until late and sat in his dressing room playing games- even though his door was being knocked. He then threw a strop as he said he wanted a shower first, despite already being late.
“Justin arrived at the O2 at 3pm to do some meet and greets, but he didn’t get up until late because he’d had a heavy night at his hotel.”
The Canadian pop star yesterday tweeted an apology for his late arrival to the O2 stage, claiming it was due to “technical issues.” He said to his fans: “I never have any intent to upset or let anyone down. And I’m not okay with things being exaggerated. Once again sorry for anyone upset.”
X Factor judge and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Sherzinger has warned Diva Bieber is too young for such antics. "I mean if it were someone like Whitney Houston I'd be waiting! I'm getting too old to stay up late these days so I don't have a lot of patience for that kind of thing."
Could the teenage pop sensation have been playing on the game Joustin’ Beaver? Inspired by Biebermania, the game is a parody of the singer’s worldwide achievement where the protagonist must navigate the “whirlpool of success”, battle paparazzi “Phot-Hogs” and sign “Otter-graphs.”
It’s pretty "unbeliebable" as the teenage star tried to sue the games developer in November 2012.
