Lil Wayne has denied quitting his US tour with pop-punk band Blink-182, after reports he abruptly cut short his set in Virginia and proclaimed his dissatisfaction with the size of the crowd.

Wayne was scheduled to appear between Welsh pop-punk band Neck Deep and Blink-182 when, in the middle of his third track, called for the music to be halted and addressed the crowd.

“I just want the people to know if you were wondering,” he said, “please forgive me but I am so not used to performing to a crowd and there’s not too many… that’s not my swag, I’m not sure how long I’m gonna be able to do this tour, but make some noise for Blink-182 for including me anyway.”

He added: “This might be my last night.”

After performing one more song, he reportedly walked off stage after announcing “y’all are wack, I’m out of here”, leaving his band and audience members confused.

Now, the rapper, 36, has assured fans he won’t be quitting the tour.

“Yesterday was krazy!” he wrote on Twitter. “But I want all my fans to know I won’t be quitting this tour! I’m having too much fun with my bros blink-182. Bangor,ME See you tomorrow!”

Blink-182 haven’t addressed Wayne’s actions.

The tour will last until September.
