Lily Allen reveals she slept with escorts while on tour in 2014

Lily Allen has revealed that she slept with female escorts because she felt “lost and lonely” during the tour for her third album Sheezus in 2014.

The 33-year-old wrote about the experience on Instagram, explaining her decision was made after learning that some details of her upcoming book My Thoughts Exactly had been leaked to the Daily Mail.

“I slept with female escorts when I was on tour, cause I was lost and lonely and looking for something. I’m not proud, but I’m not ashamed,” she said. “I don’t do it anymore.”

“The Mail are gonna run with the story tomorrow cause someone leaked it, and they’re bound to make sound worse than it was. Just wanted to give you Er, the ‘heads up’!" she added.

Allen finalised her divorce from former husband Sam Cooper earlier this year after splitting from him in 2016. They have two daughters together, named Ethel and Marnie.

In a recent interview with Vulture while promoting her new album No Shame, Allen admitted she had cheated on Cooper while touring for Sheezus.

She said: “I lost my sense of self. I lost my identity. I was being a bad mum. I was being bad at my job. I’d wake up on a tour bus in the middle of Wisconsin and be so hung-over.

“I cheated on my husband. All I wanted to do was be with my kids. I wasn’t even making any money.”

No Shame received more positive reviews than Sheezus, with most critics agreeing it was something of a “return to form” for the pop star.
