Over the last few weeks, Morrissey has made various headlines discussing Donald Trump and Kevin Spacey, the musician doing press to promote a new album.

Unfortunately, the former Smiths frontman's tour hasn’t gone so swimmingly, various dates having been cancelled along the way.

The most recent cancellation comes today, as Morrissey has pulled out of a headline appearance at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas due to an “illness in the touring party.”

Set to take place in Los Angeles tonight (10 December), the cancellation comes just one week after shows in Philadelphia and Boston were postponed.

“It was hoped that conditions would improve the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas performance as scheduled,” a statement reads. “Morrissey looks forward to make it up to the Los Angeles fans as soon as possible.”

According to Consequence of Sound, the singer has cancelled or postponed 127 concerts since 2012 — that’s just over 25 a year.

Morrissey recently spoke about the one thing that would cause him to vote in a general election, saying: “My vote awaits any party intelligent enough to ban the slaughterhouse. Only at that point would the world begin to grow up."
