The former Beatles’ O2 show will coincide with the 50th anniversary of his famous song “Yesterday”. Although the exact date of when the song was penned is not known, it will be 50 years this May since McCartney wrote one of the most covered pop songs to date.
McCartney said he is looking forward to returning to play the UK after performing his tour for 18 months around the world. “There’s nothing quite like rocking out with your home audience”, he said.
Elsewhere on the European leg of his world tour, McCartney will play in France, Holland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
