Mumford and Sons will be playing the Big Weekend for the first time. “We’ve got a lot of catching up to do,” said frontman Marcus Mumford. “I wanna make up for it with five years worth of riders. We’re really excited, thanks for inviting us, it’s going to be great.”
The Big Weekend traditionally takes place in areas that do not usually attract big music events, with priority given to those living nearby. Recent festivals have been held in Norwich, Londonderry and Glasgow.
