Mumford and Sons have been announced as the Main Stage headliners at Reading and Leeds Festivals, alongside Metallica.

The British band previously appeared at the festivals in 2010, when they performed on the NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage. The Reading and Leeds gig will be their first UK performance in over two years after a brief hiatus.

Royal Blood, Bastille, deadmau5 and Wolf Alice have also been announced to perform.
