Reading Festival 2015: Tesco once again swap carrots and broccoli for Fosters and Carlsberg

This year's headliners include Mumford & Sons, Metallica and The Libertines

As anyone who has been to Reading will tell you, there’s one soggy trip every reveller must make to truly get into the festival spirit: the beer run.

Each year, one Tesco branch - which just happens to be within walking distance of the festival grounds - manages to take full advantage of the situation, swapping out the groceries for crates upon crates of Fosters, Carlsberg and Budweiser.

A similar thing happened last year, when Jagermeister filled the spaces where carrots once to sit. A spokesperson told The Independent at the time they expect to serve 35,000 customers from the festival a day while also keeping their regular supplies.

Punters are currently making their way down to the Richfield Avenue site, patiently waiting for the acts to begin on Friday, headlined by folk rockers Mumford and Sons. On Saturday the stage will be graced by Metallica, while the festival will be concluded by a headline set from The Libertines.

Other acts to play include Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J, Royal Blood, Jamie T and Run the Jewels. Stage times have recently been released, which you can see here.

Festival goers are being warned to bring wellies and waterproofs while also being advised to travel by coach/train as the site remains wet.
