Christmas came early for hip-hop fans at approximately 2am this morning, when Killer Mike and El-P released their second album Run The Jewels 2 for free on their website.

The album is available as a .zip file at runthejewels.net, all you have to do is enter your email address and hit download.

Run The Jewels 2 will also be available on CD and LP through Mass Appeal Records and was produced mostly by El-P and Little Shalimar (co.), featuring already released singles "Oh My Darling Don't Cry", "Blockbuster Night Part 1" and "Close Your Eyes (And Count To F*ck)" which features Rage Against The Machine's Zack de la Rocha.

Vinyls and super vinyls have already sold out on the website, but a few T-shirts featuring the artwork still remain.

Last week, a fan-started, Run The Jewels-backed Kickstarter campaign drew enough donations to fund Meow The Jewels, a remix of the album made using entirely cat sounds.

Hosts have producers have agreed to work on it, including Just Blaze and El-P himself.
