After announcing its decision to call it quits last week, American alternative rock band R.E.M. revealed details about an upcoming career-spanning greatest hits collection.
The new album will be titled Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage: 1982-2011 and is set to release November 15 via Warner Bros., according to The Hollywood Reporter. Presumably the album will release in the UK on November 14, but details have not yet been confirmed.
The new collection will reportedly also include new songs recorded following the release of the band's last album, Collapse Into Now.
In its 31-year history, R.E.M. has released 15 albums, including two greatest hit collections: 2006's And I Feel Fine...The Best of the I.R.S. Years 1982-1987 and 2003's In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003. Collapse Into Now, released in March 2011, reached the top ten in album charts in 14 countries.
