Azure Ray is the some-time project of singer-songwriters Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink.

And though it's been seven years since their last album together, neither – the now obligatory song in Gray's Anatomy aside – has set the world alight solo. Drawing Down the Moon deserves better. It is a record of majestic adult-orientated American pop. Think Aimee Mann within a subtle Southern-state twist.
