She & Him, the duo of actress Zooey Deschanel and songwriter M Ward, don't pull up any Christmas trees in the name of originality here.

AVSAHC consists entirely of tasteful campfire-folk covers of seasonal classics, all delivered in the pair's usual style: attractively sleepy harmonies, laced with twinkling ukuleles, but adding nothing new to the canon. Until, that is, a neat gender reversal twist on "Baby, It's Cold Outside", wherein she's making all the advances and he's making his excuses.
