Band of the moment Snarky Puppy (a collective from north Texas led by bassist/composer Michael League) aren't just post-jazz: they're post everything.

Lounge, funk, prog, gospel and grunge drift past with easy charm on this live-in-Brooklyn CD-and-DVD combo, with the catchy opener, "Thing of Gold" marked by spacey Moog, high-life guitar, classical strings and reggae horns. Elsewhere, it's a po-mo version of fusioneers the Yellowjackets. They're going to be big.
