The joke, surely, is over now. We may have chuckled indulgently with the cheesepop quintet's super-successful reunion tour, but allowing them to put out a Christmas album is a bridge too far.
A handful of festive standards padded out with a handful of wet ballads, Light Up the World is a predictably insipid, pulse-free affair, and they ought to be arrested on the spot for even thinking about covering Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)".
