No Age have unleashed a single of heavy percussion, buzzing guitar lines and shouted vocals

LA arthouse punks No Age (pictured) have unleashed a great new single full of heavy percussion, buzzing guitar lines and shouted vocals. The track “C'mon Stimmung” leads the charge for the duo's August-released fourth album An Object. Randy Randall and Dean Spunt also created a visual accompaniment which, though it's billed as “not the video”, is on YouTube. So make up your own mind. Either which way, the song is there at youtu.be/UcGacOmfBvQ. Play it loud.

Singer's fourth album still MIA

Matanga, the putative fourth album from MIA, has been beset with delays and frustrations. Lately, things moved further down the line with a new track, the first sampling from the album, apparently due in the autumn. The song, “Bring the Noize”, does just that but, as per the humdrum song title, it does seem a slightly by-the-numbers effort. It's interesting to hear nonetheless, and to see what follows. Find it and the rather less humdrum video at miauk.com.

Dark side of Daft Punk unleashed

I'm sure they won't be the last, but fellow Frenchman Nicolas Jaar and his collaborator Dave Harrington, working under their moniker Darkside, have beaten everyone to remix Daft Punk's album Random Access Memories. They're streaming the whole thing at snd.sc/198uoPD, giving a more fragmented take on the original's expansive disco template.
