Taylor Swift to release 'Wildest Dreams' next from bestselling album 1989
US singer made the announcement on Twitter
Taylor Swift has announced the next single to be released from her bestseller album 1989 will be ‘Wildest Dreams’.
The US singer and performer, 25, tweeted early on Wednesday morning her next release, although she gave no indication when the single’s video would be forthcoming.
The tweet, retweeted and ‘favourited’ tens of thousands of times within minutes of appearing, is typical of the singer’s adept use of social media as she often eschews official announcements to instead build a much-discussed rapport with her legions of fans.
Swift, who has been feted in recent months after taking on Apple over its attitude to musicians’ work, has enjoyed phenomenal success since first appearing on the music scene as a country singer in the early noughties.
The runaway success of her fifth studio album 1989 – released on 27 October last year – has been described by the singer as her first “official pop album”.
