In a landmark move, YouTube's first ever daily channel has today (16 February) arrived in the UK following its immense popularity in the States.

Named Awesomeness TV, the streaming service will provide viewers with content seven days a week all year round.

Each day will be set apart for different kinds of content; these include advice pieces, entertainment shows as well as segments focused on comedy and cooking.

Popular with teenagers, YouTubers Mazzi Maz, Ebony Day and Jake Mitchell are among those joining the channel. In the US, Awesomeness TV has over 3.5 million subscribers.

UK Director of Content and Strategy, Randel Bryan commented that: “Awesomeness TV is one of the world’s most exciting and youthfully connected brands and we’re delighted to be bringing it to the UK.

"Our aspiration is to build a local channel that extends Awesomeness’ ability to organically entrain, educate and engage audiences across multiple-platforms for years to come on a global scale”.
