The Big Bang Theory is about to air its 200th episode.

And there's only one way for the sitcom to truly celebrate in style; by bringing on the nerdiest guest star imaginable, Adam West. Yes, original Batman himself.

The episode, entitled "The Celebration Experimentation", will see Sheldon celebrate his birthday; Amy wants a party, he despises the idea. Naturally.

It's a show which really deserves major kudos for being such a hit sitcom so entirely grounded in the particularities of geek culture; a show whose previous major guest stars have included the likes of Stan Lee, George Takei, Stephen Hawking and Leonard Nimoy.

And so, in celebration of its milestone event, we've collected some of the series' most delightfully geeky jokes and moments:
