Netflix new original cartoon series BoJack Horseman has debuted its first trailer, seeing Will Arnett play a jaded, whiskey-swigging horse and Aaron Paul playing, well….Jesse Pinkman.

The character Todd Chavez that Paul lends his voice to doesn't look unlike his Breaking Bad character, coming complete with hoodie, stubble and beanie hat.

Netflix describes BoJack Horseman as "a dark, irreverent, animated comedy for adults", telling the sorry story of a failed legendary 90s sitcom star (and horse) who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whiskey and failed relationships.

The first teaser trailer sees his human sidekick Todd, feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Caroline try and piece him back together, set to Tune-Yards' new track Water Fountain.

Amy Sedaris, Alison Brie and Paul F. Tompkins also feature, with celebrity cameos expected throughout the season.

All 12 episodes of season 1 will stream from Friday 22 August.
