Aaron Paul has revealed the one wish that was never granted for his character in Breaking Bad El Camino
The actor, who reprises the role of Jesse Pinkman in the Netflix release, told The Independent that he would have liked one of the topics hinted at in the film to have been properly addressed.
In El Camino , Jesse is handed a new identity and life in Alaska, and is offered the chance to send anyone in the world one final letter. He opts to send one to Brock , the young son of his murdered girlfriend Andrea, but some fans wondered why he didn’t send one to Drew also. It turns out Paul wishes his character had done just that.
“I wish that Jesse was able to let Drew Sharp’s parents know what happened to him, because he wanted to do that,” Paul said. ”I wish he was able to maybe write Drew’s parents a letter.”
Fourteen-year-old Drew was introduced in the show’s fifth season. He’s seen riding his bike in the Albuquerque desert and coming across Jesse, Walt (Bryan Cranston ) and Todd (Jesse Plemons) following their successful train heist in the episode “Dead Freight”.

“He tried [to help them],” Paul continued. “I think it was in the episode ‘Blood Money’, Jesse was just losing all sense of reality and spinning out of control.”
The Netflix film, released last week, picks up after the climactic events of the Breaking Bad finale, with Jesse on the run after escaping from the clan of white supremacists that imprisoned him for most of season five.
