And then there were 45. This week the remaining Britain’s Got Talent hopefuls will dominate British television viewing with live semi-finals and results shows on ITV every night this week.

Fresh from the drama of the WWII bomb scare which caused TV studios to be evacuated last week, Simon Cowell and his fellow BGT judges will be hoping for some equally newsworthy moments with which to fill the scheduled 10 hours of airtime. And it is live remember…

Singers, dog trainers and comedians will compete for a coveted place in the grand final as Ant and Dec provide their usual combination of wit and silliness to Simon Cowell’s barefaced adoration of dogs, Amanda Holden’s sweetness, David Walliams’ continuous look of surprise and Alesha Dixon’s no-nonsense approach.

Nine acts will perform for the judges and viewers at home every night and the winning act will appear at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, winning a cash prize of £250,000.

The winner will be decided by your votes.

We’re here all week

Tune in from 7.30pm on ITV Monday to Friday.

The results show is on nightly from 9.30pm.

Who are the Golden Buzzer acts?

The judges (oh, and Ant and Dec) handpicked one act each for a guaranteed place in the semi finals.

They include Calum Scott, who was chosen by Cowell, entertainer Lorraine Bowen (chosen by Walliams) dance group Boyband, whom Ant and Dec plumped for, choir Revelation Avenue (Holden’s choice) and Dixon’s favoured act, dancers Entity Allstars.

Who's on tonight?

The nine acts appearing tonight (Monday) are Andrew Fleming (Impressionist), Becky O'Brien (Singer), Billy and Emily England (Roller-skating duo), Cor Glanaethwy (Choir), Entity Allstars (Dance group and also Alesha Dixon's Golden Buzzer act), Henry Gallagher (Singer), Lorraine Bowen (Singer/entertainer) Mitch and Cally The Wonderdog (who are attempting to break the world record for the number of balloons popped in one minute) and dance group, the Ruby Red Performers.

The judges still reserve the right to boot the contestants out of the competition.

Each results show will feature a guest performance. Ricky Martin will perform tonight (Monday), followed by 2014 finalists Jack Pack on 26 May. Judge Dixon, who insists she will sing live, will perform on 27 May, followed by Olly Murs on 28 May and 2014 winners Collabro on 29 May.

What was that about a bomb?

On Saturday rehearsals for the live shows had to be stopped after builders working around 200m from Wembley stadium unearthed the 50kg device dropped by Nazi pilots.

The Army, which safely detonated the device, had warned of a "genuine risk to life" as some 300 homes and businesses, including Fountain Studios where the ITV show is filmed, were evacuated.

A Britain's Got Talent spokesman said: "We were just about to start our rehearsal and were trying to build the set when the building was evacuated.

"It has not been great, but it is not detrimental at this stage."
