Buffy the Vampire Slayer trailer season 1

The cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a small reunion sparking excitement in fans of the hit TV show.

Original stars, including Alyson Hannigan (Willow), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) and Spike actor James Marsters, were all present alongside Nicholas Brendon who played Xander.

While Amber Benson, Julie Benz, Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Iyari Limon, James leary and Clare Kramer were all there for the Sunnydale High School reunion, the titular slayer herself – Sarah Michelle Gellar – was not.

David Boreanaz, who played Angel, and Anhtony Stuart Head were also absent.

The cast reunited for a panel at Wizard World Portland. Feeling left out, creator Joss Whedon tweeted a photo alongside Mindy Kaling’s book titled Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?.

Brendon posted a photo alongside Carpenter, referencing a controversial moment that saw him kiss Hannigan's character, Willow.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons from 1996 to 2003.
