Finnish Weatherman does Games of Thrones

With around six months to wait for the sixth season of Game of Thrones, and who knows how long for new book The Winds of Winter, fans have been turning to desperate measures to get their daily dose of Westeros.

None more so than one Finnish weatherman, who decided to give his MTV3 forecast a fun, if ever so slightly ridiculous, makeover in homage to the hit fantasy series.

Pekka Pouta suddenly transformed into Ned Stark, furs, flowing locks and all, as dramatic music crescendoed and snow flakes filled the screen. “Winter is coming!” he said in a deep voice, referencing the famous Stark family phrase.

So, it’s going to be pretty chilly in Finland these next few weeks, then.

Elsewhere in Thrones news, fansite Watchers on the Wall has revealed that the Starks will be returning to Winterfell, possibly after a battle between Ramsay Bolton and his allies and the supposedly-back-from-the-dead Jon Snow.

One Thrones director has strongly hinted that the next season finale will involve White Walkers, and the air date is expected to fall at the end of April or start of May.
