Game of Thrones 'hold the door' moment recut with Lost music will destroy you
The results are even more heartbreaking than you can imagine
*Spoilers for both Game of Thrones and Lost below*
If you're even a hint of a Game of Thrones fan, you'll be aware of the most recent episode's huge events. Three words: "Hold the door."
Hodor tragically died fending off a horde of white walkers by holding a door shut, the order of which he heard as a young boy in the past via Bran's visions. That's right: Game of Thrones threw fans for a loop - specifically, a 'time' one.
If you think it all sounds a bit like Lost then you wouldn't be alone. In fact, Vimeo user Jesse Carp feels the same and decided to go one step further by taking the music from that show's fourth season finale to tranpose it onto Hodor's big moment.
The results are even more heartbreaking than you can imagine.
While Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi did a stellar job at tying the scene together, the addition of Lost's score - courtesy of Oscar-winning maestro Michael Giacchino - takes the scene to a whole other level of quality.
The piece of music - titled "There's No Place Like Home" - was taken from a scene in Lost which saw a collection of survivors, dubbed 'the Oceanic Six,' reunited with their family following a dramatic escape from the island.
Game of Thrones continues this Sunday with an episode that promises lots of King's Landing carnage.
