Maisie Williams is refusing to admit that Jon Snow will return in Game of Thrones season six, insisting that the popular character is “toast” despite all reports suggesting otherwise.
The 18-year-old actress plays the Night's Watch commander's half-sibling Arya Stark in the hit series, so if anyone knows what the hell is going on in Westeros, she should.
“All the time people are asking me if Jon Snow is alive and the answer is no! He’s dead! I promise,” Williams told Christian O’Connell on Absolute Radio this morning, before suggesting viewers are unwilling to face up to the horror.
“I think you’re in denial about it for a long time when you see the death of a big character but I can’t help but think it makes for such a great storyline! It keeps you coming back for more. My favourite character was Ygritte. But then she died!”

The Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, who was stabbed by his own men and left for dead in the season five finale, recently revealed that the show will “remain part of his life for a while”, but Williams has an answer for this too.
“The interview that you’ve all read and think that Kit spoiled is fabricated. It was totally false!” she told TV Line at the Emmy Awards last month.
It’s all getting too confusing, with so many theories we’re practically swimming in them.
Game of Thrones is expected to return to HBO and Sky Atlantic next spring.
