While there’s still some question over when Game of Thrones eighth season will finally touch down — either late 2018 or early 2019 — the show’s certainly moving forward.
According to Ian Glenn, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont on the acclaimed HBO show, the full cast will read-through the new episodes within the week.
As picked up by RadioTimes, the actor told a Stockholm comic-con audience the cast would be going through the pages on the 9 October.
Glenn added that he has no idea what happens come the final six episodes but he “would just be happy to be alive and in what I imagine is going to be a massive battle [in which] I then survive or die nobly.”

Speaking about why the final season is taking longer than normal, Glenn explained: “We’re all starting to occupy the same territory, we’re all starting to be in the same storylines and so they can’t [have two filming units] anymore.
“I think this last season will take much longer to shoot because they can only use one unit because we’re all in the same sort of scenes.”
