House of Cards season 6 trailer

The final season of House of Cards has debuted a brand new trailer which sees President Claire Underwood declare "the reign of the middle-aged white man is over."

Following on from a recent teaser which revealed Kevin Spacey's character has been killed off, this new clip shows Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) means business as the new President of the United States. One brief moment sees her square up to Lars Mikkelsen's Russian ruler Petrov.

"The reign of the middle-aged white man is over."

If Claire thought that the death of her husband means the burial of their murderous secrets, shes' got another thing coming. Returning this season are characters Janine Skorsky (Constance Zimmer) and Tom Hammerschmidt are back investigating their dodgy dealings.

“The bodies are adding up,” the latter says hinting that perhaps Claire had something to do with her husband's death.

The trailer also shows off new cast members Greg Kinnear and Diane Lane who'll join the likes of Michael Kelly and Sakina Jaffrey.

Wright previously promised an "operatic" sixth and final season. All eight episodes debut on Netflix on 2 November.
