Reality TV favourite Joey Essex, former England cricketer Phil Tufnull, pop star Stacey Solomon and Gogglebox star Dom Parker are among this year’s line-up for winter sports contest The Jump.

Davina McCall will return to present the second series of the Channel 4 show, which sees sixteen celebrities tackle extreme events such as the Bobsleigh and Slalom.

JLS singer JB Gill, Jackass’ Steve-O, Made in Chelsea’s Louise Thompson, socialite Lady Victoria Hervey, ex-Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts and philanthropist Heather Mills are also joining the competition, along with dancer Louie Spence, ex England rugby captain Mike Tindall, Labour activist and wife of the Speaker of the House of Commons Sally Bercow, heptathlete Louise Hazel and ballroom dancer Ola Jordan.

Former X Factor winner Joe McElderry won last year’s The Jump Cowbell Trophy, while several other contestants crashed out including Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave and comedian Marcus Brigstocke.

The next run will air in early 2015 with the Skeleton set to be the first challenge. The celebrities will go head to head and reach speeds of up to 60mph before the slowest take on a live ski jump to secure their place in the series. Those who jump the shortest distances will be relegated to The Subs Bench.
