Strictly Come Dancing 2014: Simon Webbe from Blue to join Frankie from The Saturdays
The 'All Rise' singer will be showing off his dance moves in the next series
Blue’s Simon Webbe is the latest celebrity confirmed to be taking to the Strictly Come Dancing floor this autumn.
The boy band singer will be showing the public his best moves after rising to fame in the early Noughties with hits such as “All Rise” and “One Love”.
Blue split in 2004 but reformed again five years later. In 2011 they represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest to finish eleventh, and were recently seen on ITV’s Big Reunion documentary and tour.
Webbe is excited to be taking part in the hit series, despite having already appeared to dance the cha-cha with professional Katya Virshilas in the 2011 Strictly Christmas Special.
“I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started,” he said. “I’m hopeful that Strictly Come Dancing will help me improve on my daddy dancing skills.
“I want to make my daughter proud and no doubt she will be teaching me a pirouette or two along the way.”
