The looming return of The Walking Dead with season 7 will bring a resolution we've both been dreading, and desperate to receive.
Who will be the first victim to fall at the hands of Negan's bat Lucille, as so brutally teased during the season 6 finale? Though a new clip seems to heavily hint at who that victim may be, we're still essentially in the dark; with the episode's synopsis leaving us with nothing but more tension and an eerily reflective title.
The premiere episode will go by the name of 'The Day Will Come When You Won't Be' (via ComicBookMovie); calling back to the very first season, when Dr. Edwin Jenner says the line in response to Rick's gratitude for saving his life and letting him escape the Center for Disease Control before it exploded.
Clearly, whatever happens with Negan spells the beginning of an especially dark period for Rick, who may now regret having ever been allowed to survive in the first place.
Elsewhere, the synopsis simply teases: "Last season ended with Rick and our group kneeling helplessly before Negan and his group. What Negan does will haunt those who survive forever." And likely the rest of us, too.
