The Walking Dead season 8 episode 13 trailer teases guts-filled Hilltop battle

Next week's episode of The Walking Dead looks set to be a particularly gruesome one as The Saviours' plans to catapult walker guts into the Hilltop are put into action.

Despite Negan's initial plans to merely put the frighteners on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and company, Simon (Steven Ogg) has managed to convince his group to go one step further in the absence of his leader: after wiping out Jadis' entire community, he's dead set on doing the same thing here.

What he doesn't know is that Dwight (Austin Amelio) is working for the other side which, by our money, places Simon's future into doubt.

It was Eugene (Josh McDermitt) who provided Negan with the idea of weaponising the undead, something which could have serious repercussions considering Father Gabriel seems to have gone blind after dousing himself in guts to escape a horde he was surrounded by earlier this season

Whatever happens, the trailer for next week's episode - titled - teases yet another tense night-time battle.

The latest episode of the AMC series introduced a mysterious new character named Georgie (Jayne Atkinson) who fans are convinced could be the recently-added Pamela Milton who is a huge part of the New World Order era of Robert Kirkman's comic book series. More on Georgie and Pamela here.

The Walking Dead season 8 continues on AMC every Sunday with the UK premiere arriving the next evening on FOX as well as being available to stream on NOW TV.
