How’s your eye for a bargain? Put it to the test and you could win £1,000.

Trends such as the massive growth of price comparison websites suggest that we’ve all become much more savvy shoppers, sniffing out the keenest prices even when splashing out. But is that really true? How savvy are you?

We’ve teamed up with Argos to put your bargain-hunting talent to the test. Pictured below are 10 items, all available through the current Argos catalogue. Do you know how much they cost? After all, a bargain is only a true one if you get something at a good price.

We reckon all 10 items in the image gallery are available at decent prices, but how much?

To reward savvy shoppers, we have £5,000 up for grabs. To win one of five £1,000 vouchers, tell us how much each of the products in the image gallery is sold for at Argos. Think the bike would set you back £299.99, for instance? Put (c) down as your answer for number 8 then.

To enter just send us an email or letter with a list of the numbers 1-10 with the appropriate letter (a, b or c) next to each number. Please include contact details so we can get in touch if you win.

Get all 10 correct and you’ll be in with a chance to win one of five £1,000 Argos vouchers. Send email entries to yourmoney@independent.co.uk or write to Your Money, The Independent, 2 Derry Street, London W8 5HF to reach us by Tuesday 13 March. Good luck!

Terms & Conditions: 1. There are five prizes to be won. 2. Each prize is £1,000-worth of Argos vouchers. 3.Winners will be chosen at random from all correct entries received. 4. Closing date is 13 March. 5. Winners will be notified by email by 5pm on 20 March. 6. Standard newspaper conditions apply, for full terms and conditions go to www.independent.co.uk/legal
