1. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

A seriously luxurious lightweight concealer, but you can still build it up to get a medium or even high coverage for really dark under eye bags or blemishes. It's a dream to apply - no dragging the skin at all, and I noticed no creasing by evening. A combination of hydrating skin-caring benefits and light diffusing technology sweep away dark circles, fine lines and imperfections, and left my under eyes super soft and moisturised.

2. MAC Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35

Virtually invisible coverage and available in 15 shades, this long-lasting, water resistant and lightweight concealer is so concentrated you just need a teeny tiny dot to cover imperfections, so should last about 6 months. Silica helps absorb the skin's oils to keep you matte all day (it worked wonders on my shiny t-zone) and the high pigment means it can even cover moles, birthmarks and tattoos.

3. L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique BB Concealer

An innovative cooling roll-on concealer, makes this perfect for soothing tired skin. Smooth over dark circles to instantly brighten, hydrate and refresh puffy, partied-out peepers – it's my beauty essential the morning after the baby's been up all night! Plus a super-generous 10ml in the bottle made mine last for ages.

4. Origins Plantscription Anti-ageing Concealer

A pioneer in finding naturally-derived age-correcting skincare ingredients, Origins use extract from the Ghanaian Anogeissus tree, which has the ability to protect collagen. (We stop producing it in our 30s). The fine skin around the eye loses collagen fast as we age and this crease-less concealer instantly reduces fine lines, but also works over time to support this delicate area.

8. Vichy Derma Blend Ultra-Corrective Cream-Stick

For moderate to severe skin imperfections like rosacea, vitiligo, scars or tattoos, many concealers just don't have the ability to cover completely. This one has an exceptionally high pigment concentration, and yet surprisingly I found it still easily melts into the skin leaving a soft velvety matte finish. With 12 hour coverage, it can be used for small imperfections, or across the whole face like a foundation.
