Nadine Dorries might be facing a few more Bush Tucker trials if the jilted wife of her former lover has anything to do with it.

Rachael Butler, 54, whose husband John Butler’s affair with the Tory MP was exposed last year has got the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! contestant's voting line on speed dial to “keep her suffering”.

"I don't want her to be voted off- they go into a five-star hotel if they leave," she told The Daily Mail. "I'm loving it. Keep her suffering. I won't stop voting. I must have voted hundreds of times. The public seem to be picking on her and I'm like 'Carry on'."

Butler, who has reportedly been friends with Dorries for over a decade, said: "[Nadine’s] never been into that sort of thing - camping and roughing it. She likes creature comforts and luxury hotels. She is definitely doing it for the publicity - and for the money."

Dorries, 55, has already been covered in creepy crawlies for first task Bug Burial, screaming “I’m a celebrity get me out of here!” after just four minutes.

On Tuesday night’s episode the nation watched Dorries munch her way through ostrich anus, lamb’s testicle, a baked spider and a camel toe- but she baulked at the prospect of a fermented egg. Afterwards Dorries admitted on the ITV1 show: "I feel sick as a dog."

Butler has branded the MP a “marriage wrecker”. But Dorries denied she was the cause of their marriage break-up in a statement.

"John and I have been friends for many years and the status of our relationship altered over the Christmas period following his decision to leave his wife,” it read.

“We both have the full support of our five teenage and young adult daughters, who have been our first consideration throughout."

Nadine split from her husband Paul in 2006.
