Meghan Markle isn't the first American to marry a member of the British royal family

Our article of 28 November 2017 headlined "Prince Harry Meghan Markle engagement: Barack Obama congratulates the couple while Trump remains silent" incorrectly reported that Meghan Markle was the first American to become engaged to a member of the British royal family. In fact, Edward VIII proposed to American socialite Wallis Simpson, leading to his abdication in 1936 - they subsequently married. We have now amended the article.

An article first published on 20 November 2017 ("This map shows the most dangerous countries in the world for tourists") included a map, which we described as illustrating the FCO's advice as to which countries were and were not safe to travel to. The map was in fact outdated and reflected the FCO's advice as of November 2016. We have therefore removed the item.
