Angelina Jolie attended the premiere for her new film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil with five of her six children.

The star was all smiles as she was pictured at the Los Angeles event, wearing a black sequinned Grecian-style Atelier Versace gown.

Jolie’s dark dress matched the outfits worn by her children, who appeared in high spirits as they posed alongside their mother on the red carpet.

The children in attendance with the actor were 15-year-old Pax Thien, 14-year-old Zahara Marley, 13-year-old Shiloh Nouvel and 11-year-old twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon.

The only sibling missing from the brood was 18-year-old Maddox, who Jolie recently dropped off at university in South Korea.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere, Jolie said she felt “so proud” of her eldest child.

Jolie shares six children with her ex-husband, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star Brad Pitt.

The celebrity couple announced their separation in 2016, following two years of marriage. They were together for more than a decade.

During a press conference that took place prior to the film’s premiere, Jolie spoke about how returning to the role of Maleficent made her feel strong again, having first portrayed the character in 2014.

“You know years ago when we first did, I was like, ‘She’s a bit wild and full-on and a bit much and fun,” the actor and activist said.

“And now, I’ve been through different things in my life and I was so happy to feel strong again and to have some fun.”

Jolie added that she “adores” playing Maleficent and that she feels “proud” to be associated with her.
