Harry Potter advent calendar filled with socks launches in time for Christmas

Because socks are what everyone wants at Christmas, right?

Forget boring old chocolates, there’s now a Christmas advent calendar with a pair of Harry Potter-themed socks behind every door.

The 12 Days of Socks advent treat is selling for £12 on Target’s website - which ships to the UK.

While most people cringe at the thought of receiving socks for Christmas, Potter fans will no doubt be pleased with their snazzy women’s sock collection come Christmas morning.

The pairs feature the likes of Harry, Hedwig and the Golden Snitch.

Unsurprisingly, given the fervour of Harry Potter superfans, the product has already sold out - but fans are keeping an eager eye on the site for any signs of a restock.

One note of caution, though; there’s only one review so far for the Potter calendar, and it’s not good.

Posting one day ago, one customer wrote: “Garbage, absolute low quality trash.”

But as their username was ‘The Grinch’, we’ll leave it up to you to decide how seriously to take it.

It’s the latest in a long line of cash-in twee advent calendars, ranging from boozy ones like whisky and gin, to dog and cat treats.
